Dear Lord, be gracious to me, O Lord. See my affliction from those who hate me. O Lord my God, in you do I take refuge; save me from all my pursuers and deliver me. Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings, from the wicked who do me violence, my deadly enemies who surround me. Cast me not off; forsake me not, O God of my salvation! Contend, O Lord, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me! Take hold of shield and buckler and rise for my help! Draw the spear and javelin against my pursuers! Say to my soul, “I am your salvation!” Vindicate me, O God, and defend my cause against an ungodly people, from the deceitful and unjust man deliver me! Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer; from the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint. When I walk in the midst of trouble, preserve my life, Lord. Stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and deliver me with your right hand. Look on my affliction and deliver me, for I do not forget your law. Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness because of my enemies; make your way straight before me. Plead my cause and redeem me; give me life according to your promise. You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word. Depart from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commandments of my God. Lord, uphold me according to your promise, that I may live, and let me not be put to shame in my hope! Hold me up, that I may be safe and have regard for your statutes continually! Let your steadfast love comfort me according to your promise to your servant. Keep steady my steps according to your promise, and let no iniquity get dominion over me. Redeem me from man’s oppression, that I may keep your precepts. Make your face shine upon your servant, and teach me your statutes. Let your mercy come to me, that I may live; for your law is my delight. Let the insolent be put to shame, because they have wronged me with falsehood; as for me, I will meditate on your precepts. Let those who fear you turn to me, that they may know your testimonies. May my heart be blameless in your statutes that I may not be put to shame. In your steadfast love give me life, that I may keep the testimonies of your mouth. Let my cry come before you, O Lord; give me understanding according to your word! Let my plea come before you; deliver me according to your word. Let your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen your precepts. I long for your salvation, O Lord, and your law is my delight. Let my soul live and praise you, and let your rules help me. My lips will pour forth praise, for you teach me your statutes. I will sing of your strength, I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning. For you have been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress. O my Strength, I will sing praises to you, for you, O God, are my fortress, the God who shows me steadfast love. I shall behold your face in righteousness. I love you, O Lord, my strength. For by you I can run against a troop and by my God I can leap over a wall. I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. I give you thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart; before the gods I sing your praise; I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word. On the day I call, strengthen my soul, O Lord. Fulfill your purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord endures forever. I call upon you Lord, who is worthy to be praised. You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. In Jesus name, Amen.
